Future of Internet explained – today!
We all know Internet as an integral part of our daily lives. Internet has become a commodity, and is often viewed as a hot and modern technology. However, when you look into the technical details of how the Internet works, you find out that it is based on ideas and technologies that emerged more than 40 years ago. It is time for an upgrade!
Take the opportunity to participate in the SAIL Summer School in June (25th to 28th), 2012, in Santander.
You can read more about the program and details of the SAIL Summer School here (link). To get the latest updates you can like SAIL on Facebook, join our LinkedIn group or follow @SAILproject on Twitter.
If you are a student (M.Sc. or Ph.D.), post-doc or researcher, interested in the latest research areas of the Future Internet, this is an opportunity you should not miss. Register for the SAIL Summer School now, so you secure your place.
SAIL – Scalable and Adaptive Internet Solutions – is an EU-funded research project with 25 partners including leading ICT vendors, operators and universities. During two years SAIL has developed a number of key concepts for the Future Internet, and the SAIL Summer School gives you a unique opportunity to learn more about some of them.
In particular, we will cover topics such as Cloud Networking, Network Virtualization, Network of Information and Open Connectivity Services. The lectures will be carried out by top researchers in these areas. Additionally, there will be two keynote talks, given by reputable experts in the area.
Ph.D. students are invited to submit an extended abstract of their current research. Some contributions will be selected to be presented during a work-in-progress session. This offers an excellent opportunity for people working in these areas to exchange ideas with other colleagues on an open and informal environment. In addition, an award will be given to the best presented work.
(Still not sure you will attend? You can always pre-register your interest using this form (link) and get updates via email. Otherwise head directly to the registration process.)
